About Demack Engineering
Established in 1980 by John Draper, Demack has been involved in many a project throughout New Zealand.
From the start Demack has taken pride in it’s work and service to customers. Building strong working relationships with customers we continue to do work for many 30 years on.
Mark started working for his father in 1993 and took over the company in 2008.
Mark has continued the standard and values he learnt from his father from completing jobs on time and to a high standard.
Demack now runs out of two factories with a team of 10 staff doing structural and architectural steel work and industrial engineering. Using materials such as mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
Mark Draper – Managing Director
Mark started in the industry at a young age, working during school holidays in an engineering shop to then doing his apprenticeship. With his travels overseas, he gained more experience as an engineer before coming home and starting at Demack in 1993, furthering his knowledge from his
father, from whom he took over the business in 2008 when he retired.
Mark has grown the business into a successful company, takes great pride in delivering exemplary service and quality work, and is always up for a challenge. Outside of work, Mark is usually found on two wheels, from adventure riding and cross-country riding to mountain bike riding.
Shaun Kennedy – Operations Manager/Director
Shaun comes from a mechanical background, having taught himself the basics of engineering due to his passion for building motorcycles. After a mentor suggested he’d love the industry, he spent time working as a mechanical fitter at Glenbrook steel mill, then later found his stride in fabrication at
Demack Engineering.
Having now spent 8 years at Demack, Shaun is responsible for the company’s day-to-day operations and overseeing all jobs.
Outside work, Shaun continues to build vintage Harley Davidsons, ride his dirt bike, surfs and loves to travel and the outdoors.
